A lawman in search of America’s most notorious train robbers finds himself in the recently deserted town of Purgatory. He soon finds out that what hides in the shadows is so much worse than the men he’s hunting. In the wee hours of the morning on the great plains of a country still reeling from the Civil War, Yankee Lawman, Beau Riffen and his Tracker, ex-confederate, Cody Parnum are attacked by something so frightening it shakes them to the core. With their horses gone, they walk for miles over desolate terrain until they finally come upon the small town of Purgatory. Looking for relief, they find the unthinkable. The entire town has been recently abandoned. The only signs of life they find is an African American trapper that claims he arrived the night before and a prisoner in the stockade that has seen better days. What happened? Where did everyone go? The answers will come to them in the form of an ancient evil that waits in the darkness hell bent on revenge. In order to survive this disparate crew must learn to trust each other and figure out just what happened. The only clue they are left with is the name "Yee Naaldlooshii," or " The Skinwalker."

Chefs are asked to overcome major obstacles and acts of sabotage in this reality competition.

After a range war in Texas in which he lost his brother and his ranch, former cattleman Gannon takes a freight train to Kansas. Between Kansas City and Union Wells, Gannon meets Jess Washburn, a tenderfoot from Philadelphia. On the train they witness the murder of the break-man at the hands of an itinerant hobo. In the small town of Union Wells, all those riding the freight train are detained by the local sheriff and his deputies. When Jess is accused of being the murderer, Gannon reveals the identity of the real killer and claims the reward money. Since the reward is to be paid within a few days, Jess and Gannon decide to remain in Union Wells. They lodge at the local cat-house where Gannon knows the lady-owner. Later, they get jobs at the Cross ranch. The ranch is owned by the attractive widow Beth Cross. Her outfit is run by tough foreman Capper. Eventually, both Jess and Gannon will often clash with Capper. During the spare time, Gannon teaches Jess how to be a cowboy, how to dress, how to ride a horse, shoot a revolver and many wise tricks of the trade. Ranch owner Beth Cross sets her sights on Gannon. However, she also plans to invest all her money in cattle and increase her stock by a few thousand extra cattle. This plan panics her neighbors. The range is open but in the view of Beth Cross’ plan to bring in more cattle, her neighbor ranchers start installing barbed-wire fences to protect their spreads. The range cannot sustain too many cattle. Beth Cross’ outfit runs into frequent conflict with the neighbors and their crews. Sensing a range war, Beth Cross tries to seduce Gannon and asks for his help. But Gannon has bad memories about his own past range war in Texas when he lost everything. Therefore, he urges Beth to sell her ranch and abandon the cattle business. When she refuses, he quits his job and leaves the Cross ranch. The manipulative Beth switches her aim and seduces Jess. He becomes her lover and foreman, after Jess beats the old foreman, Capper, who quits. Jess is ready to lead the Cross outfit, including a few last-minute hired gun-hands, into a full range war with the neighbors, especially against ranchers Campbell and Ivers who are already building barbed-wire fences and have ordered a trainload of extra wire due to arrive the next day. Sensing trouble among the ranchers with the arrival of the barbed-wire consignment, Sheriff Polaski and his deputies, accompanied by a worried Gannon, make their way to the range where the ranchers are ready to install the new wire and where the Cross ranch outfit, led by Jess, is ready to stop them by force.

In London, Georges Thomason (Tom Georgeson), his seductive American girlfriend Wanda Gershwitz (Jamie Lee Curtis), and their associate Ken Pile (Sir Michael Palin) are planning their latest crime: a diamond heist that should net them 13 million pounds sterling. They plan to leave the country with the goods after the heist. On Wanda’s recommendation, they enlist the help of her weapons-expert brother Otto West (Kevin Kline) for this heist. Actually, Otto isn’t Wanda’s brother, but her latest lover, a dimwit who gets off on his own body odor and believes he’s an intellectual because he reads Nietzsche and does not tolerate being called stupid by anyone. Wanda has one weakness in men which is how Otto was able to get her to be his lover: speaking Italian in seduction. Wanda and Otto plan to double-cross Georges by having him arrested for the heist while they abscond with the jewels. Wanda further plans to triple-cross Otto by eliminating him from the picture after she has the jewels. They are able to get Georges arrested with him not knowing who tipped the off the police, and implicated by elderly eyewitness Eileen Coady (Patricia Hayes). With Georges in jail, Wanda and Otto discover that he has protected his investment by moving the jewels from their agreed location to a hidden one, telling nobody where they are but offering Ken a slight hint. Georges gives Ken, an animal lover with an extreme stutter, the task of killing Mrs. Coady before she is able to testify against him, as she is the Crown’s primary witness. Meanwhile, Wanda has her own plan to reach her end goal: seduce George’s defense lawyer Archie Leach (John Cleese) and find out Georges’ secrets about the heist, including the location of the jewels. Archie may be easy prey for Wanda’s seduction, as his wife Wendy (Maria Aitken) is a self-absorbed woman who pays him little attention. Otto might throw a wrench into Wanda’s plans if he finds out what she’s doing.
